Ariel Avila, BSN, RN

I’m Ariel Avila, BSN, RN, one of the founders of St. Agatha Home Health, and I bring over three decades of nursing experience to our team. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1994, along with my RN license and a Certification in Health Informatics. My journey into nursing began with a deep desire to give back the love and care my grandmother showed me while raising me—she truly shaped my heart for caregiving. I spent 12 years as an Emergency Department and Trauma Nurse, learning to remain calm, focused, and decisive under pressure. I later transitioned into Clinical Informatics in acute care, where I helped nurses—both seasoned and new—understand the critical role of accurate documentation and efficient processes. Most recently, my work in Quality Assurance and Compliance in home health has allowed me to improve care not just at the bedside, but across entire systems and workflows. I love this profession because it lets me blend hands-on clinical expertise with behind-the-scenes improvements that ultimately support better outcomes for patients and clinicians alike. In my free time, I recharge by spending quality time with my family, traveling when possible, exploring new places, and enjoying good food. My favorite comfort foods are Lumpiang Shanghai (those delicious Filipino egg rolls) and a refreshing Boba Milk Tea. Family is everything to me—they keep me grounded and motivated every day. As a co-founder of St. Agatha, this company reflects the values I hold closest: compassionate, patient-centered care delivered with professionalism, safety, and integrity. With my background in trauma nursing, informatics, and quality/compliance, I want every patient to know they’re receiving heartfelt support that’s also rooted in strong clinical standards and best practices—all in the comfort and familiarity of their own home. It’s truly a privilege to be part of our patients’ healing journeys, whether through direct care or enhancing the systems that make excellent care possible.
