I’m McKenna Houlihan, an occupational therapist here at St. Agatha. I graduated from the University of Wyoming, and my path to OT actually started with springboard diving where it got me hooked on movement, strength, and how the body recovers and adapts. That led me right into occupational therapy, where I get to help people rebuild skills after an injury, adapt everyday activities to fit their lives, or support kids in pediatrics (which is my main focus now after spending time in aquatic therapy). I love this work because I can be creative and driven, coming up with tailored ways to help each person hit their own goals. There’s nothing better than watching someone gain more confidence and independence! It’s the best part of my day. Outside of work, I recharge by reading, hiking, doing pottery, and swimming. Those things keep me active and creative and connected to the outdoors. My favorite comfort food is my mom’s homemade spaghetti, it’s simple, hearty, and always feels like home. I’ve got a sweet cat named Milo who keeps me company at home. I chose St. Agatha because the team is so supportive, and I want every patient to know we’re fully committed to your goals. We’ll be creative, driven, and treat you with the respect and care you deserve.
